THE SECOND MILE

The Second Mile

The First Mile gets you to a working product and your first customers. The Second Mile is the stretch after that, where a business either learns to repeat what worked or spends a year finding out it cannot.

Getting a customer and being able to get customers are different problems

The first sale is often explained by things that do not scale. You knew someone, you were unusually persistent, or the buyer was unusually forgiving. None of that tells you whether there is a business here. The work of the second mile is turning one result into a process that produces the next ten without you being the reason it happened.

What we expect it to cover

This is the shape of it rather than a finished curriculum, because the first cohort of The First Mile finishes in February and we intend to design this around what we learn from it.

  • Positioning that survives contact with a second and third type of buyer
  • Pricing and packaging you can defend without discounting to win
  • A demand system you can run without the founder in every conversation
  • The first hires and the first processes, in the right order

What we are not saying yet

There is no start date, no price and no cohort size, because we have not set them. We are not taking payment or commitments. If you join the waitlist you will hear from us once, when we have something real to tell you, and you can leave at any time.
